HYDROFOIL
PERFORMANCE

Enjoy the ease of hydrofoils that cushion your ride and give you supreme control, with no interference of fishing lines.

Stable
as a cat

The hull's width at waterline is similar to a catamaran, for similar stability, so you can board & move around carefree.

LEVEL
FLOTATION

You get the safest flotation (that's required by law for commercial boats) as standard. Relax with that great peace-of-mind.

HIGH PERFORMANCE FOR HIGH COMFORT

AUTO CORRECTS

In following seas & bar crossings, the bow is hydrodynamically forced to lift, preventing nose-diving and broaching.

ULTRAFOIL OPTION

Take the hydrofoils designed into your hull to the ultimate comfort, with the addition of retractable hydrofoils.

DRIVE-ON DRIVE-OFF

To easily launch & retrieve on your own, without help

SOFTENED RIDE

The wide reverse chine traps spray and pressurises it, slowing and softening downward impact.

STABILITY OF A CAT

At water level, Waveriders are as wide as a catamaran, to give you the same easy-use stability.

LEVEL FLOTATION

To maintain maximum possible stability and safety for crew, in the event of water entering the hull.

Why Hyydrofoils?

When you want every trip to feel like a fairweather day

You'll see hydrofoils on ferries in places like Sydney Harbour, to give tourists the most comfortable ride and to limit wash. When a boat with a hydrofoil increases speed, a great amount of lift is created, which raises the hull out of the water. This makes it a breeze to speed right over chop, and save on fuel consumption. With the lift that is generated, you can forget about slowly bobbing your way out to sea and crash-landing over the crests of swells. Rough, offshore conditions feel anything but, with a hydrofoil. Get there as fast and as dry as a fairweather day.

Your Waverider comes with hydrofoil benefits built into the hull, produced by the aggressive reverse chine which runs the full length of the hull, for lift even at the bow (important for preventing nose diving).

If you would like to travel far, encountering the potential of very rough seas, we offer the additional option of submerged hydrofoils -- a first for trailer boats in Australia. Special attention has been paid to the design, to allow them to be retractable for fishing hours and travel on trailers.

Waveriders are to regular monohulls, what 4WDs are to the average sedan. Adding submerged hydroils to your Waverider, is like adding lift kits and heavy duty shock absorbers to a 4WD.

WAVERIDER HYDROFOILS - IN THE MAKING FOR 30 YEARS

Pat built his first boat with hydrofoils back in the early 80s.

He put them on the worst performing boat you possibly could -- a flat bottom barge. It was the ultimate test.

The smoother ride, control at the bow and the ability to go faster through chop, gave Pat the drive to find a way to implement hydrofoils into a boat design and take the enjoyment of boating to another level.

Not only are Waverider Boats designed with hydrofoil properties into the hull, which outperforms regular monohulls, but you can choose the optional extra of the Waverider Submerged Hydrofoil.

The Ultrafoil.
