Only a Waverider has such an aggressive, proud reverse chine, running full width all the way from bow to stern. It is your hydrofoil: a registered design that makes the performance possible.
With level flotation certified, you can rest easy knowing your family and friends are as safe as possible. If the boat does flood, you can all stay inside the boat, reducing the risk of hypothermia.
Enjoy super quiet rides, due to the sound buffering quality that your side flotation provides. The inside hull is lined with more aluminium plate to completely seal the flotation chambers.
Not only do you have an alloy trailer designed for the boat it carries, but you can drive-on drive-off. Fish alone and ensure you have an effortless time at the boat ramp and on the road.
ALL ROUND SEATING
Sit where ever you like on the sides of the boat. The wide side decks provide generous support and comfort, and the boat's stability handles the weight placed on the edges with ease.
The aluminium floor is welded & sealed, except for central panels that are screwed down, allowing access to the underfloor storage. Soft grip U-Deck flooring or carpet are the 2 flooring cover options.
The base of all centre & side console units have an open hole so if water does flood the boat and rises above the front bar, the water weight will flood the bottom of the boat & safely act as ballast.
Made from 5083 Marine Grade Plate Aluminium throughout, the thickness of the plates are kept as similar as possible to ensure even heat distribution through all welds for max strength.
Electric motor mounts at the bow come standard with every Waverider due to the increasing use of electric motors. The little motors easily hold the boat's position rather than using an anchor.
No stubbing of toes - your feet rest underneath the wide side decks, which allows you to brace your knees against the side. Feel secure pulling up big fish or when anchored in a choppy sea.
11 rod holders
11 Rod holders are provided on each boat. Two are positioned mid-ships, angled 45 degrees away from the boat, so the skipper can see & reach the rods easily when they start screaming.
Grab rails are a must for being able to move around safely when offshore. Each Waverider comes standard with fore and aft grab rails. If you'd like more, just let us know.
Navigation lights & an automatic bilge pump are included as standard with each Waverider. The electrics are wired to a switch panel (6 switch), placed where you'd like.
Getting into your boat is made easier with a rear transom step, included on all models - but vary in size & style. The walk-through transom is sealed with a custom step.
WALK-THROUGH A WAVERIDER 500 CENTRE CONSOLE
SUBMERED HYDROFOIL - AN OPTIONAL EXTRA
The hull of your Waverider is shaped with inbuilt hydrofoils for outstanding performance, and you also have the option to add additional hydrofoils that are submerged under the hull, for the ultimate in comfort during travel.
Waverider Submerged Hydrofoils extend the soft, smooth ride of Waveriders even further. So, when you venture into particularly rough conditions, lower your Hydrofoils, so they can lift your hull above the chop.
Enjoy journeys speeding faster over inclement seas and feel like you're flying.
Waverider's Submerged Hyrdofoils are each hand-made, and precisely fitted one on each side. The location in the hull, the overall shape, strength and positioning of the foils must be exact, as well as be a perfect mirror to the other side or else the boat will steer or lean away from 'normal'.
The Hydrofoils when not in use, are drawn up so they tuck under the wide reverse chines when not in use, providing very easy trailering. This is due to the centre-board casing system used within the boat.
Waverider's Submerged Hydrofoils cost $5,000 (aprox.) in addition to your Waverider and due to the measurements needing to be exact, can only be added during the build process.
See the Ultrafoil video on the Welcome page for details or contact Pat, the designer, directly: 0467 506 131.
Due to the exacting formula required to install the Submerged Hydrofoils, they cannot be added to boats under 5m. Nor can they be added to any other boat, other than a Waverider. If Submerged Hydrofoils were fitted to a standard mono-boat, there is a very high risk the Submerged Hydrofoils would tip, capsize &/or flip the boat.
(More info on this coming soon - to Hydrofoil page)
The Waverider's perfectly designed shape handles the extreme effects produced by the Hydrofoils to result in the desired increased comfort, performance and better handling ability in rough conditions.
When you purchase a Waverider with Submerged Hydrofoils, you're getting the product of years of research (dating back to the 80s), culminating from a heap of sea-trials to fine tune the shape, size, angles & location of the Hydrofoils.
We are now proud to present to Australia the ultimate offshore accessory, for comfort & confidence when you need it most.
