All recreational Waveriders (up to 550) are built at our location in Gympie by qualified welders. The building process is overseen & instructed by Pat Jones to ensure quality control & construction is completed accurately & efficiently.

Commercial Waveriders (and recreational WR over 550) are subcontracted out to professional builders who can meet the strict criteria and can complete the whole process accordingly.

Yes & no. The aluminium floor panels are screwed down in multiple removable panels, so there can be a little water that gets under the floor, so bungs are still needed. The boats have quality scuppers for easy hose-out cleaning, as the vast majority of the water runs out the back through the scuppers.

If the boat was to ever fill with water, it is far safer and better for the water to get down under the floor & fill the under floor area (rather than sloshing on top of the floor), as the weight of the water down low acts like ballast, and makes the boat super stable when flooded - particularly when the boat has perimeter flotation, which the Waveriders' do.

We work closely with a Naval engineer and surveyour, who can add the features and customisations to any of the Waverider Boats we have. He also oversees larger builds personally, to ensure all is built properly to strict standards.
