LIFT YOUR EXPECTATIONS
HYDROFOIL PATENT # 2012101872.
HYDROFOILS EXPLAINED BY DESIGNER & INVENTOR,
PAT JONES
hydrofoils raise your bow out of chop, softening your ride and allowIng you to get home faster
The hull of your Waverider is shaped with inbuilt hydrofoils for controlling the bow, which has a roll-on effect for other performance benefits. Now, you also have the option to add retractable hydrofoils that are lowered 600mm under the hull, to raise the bow out of chop, to soften the ride and allow you to go faster in rough weather.
Hydrofoils are the ultimate in comfort during travel.
Hydrofoils cost just $5,000 (aprox.) in addition to your Wavrider and can only be added during the build process.
WR550 CC+H OFFSHORE TEST & REVIEW BY JOHN CURNOW, 2019
"You've removed the noise inherent in a plate boat... 15knots in anything else, here we can do 25... mostly it's flying." -John Curnow, 2019

HYDROFOILS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE FOLLOWING WAVERIDERS
2 TYPES OF HYDROFOILS - MANUAL LIFT OR MECHANICAL LIFT

Manual lift foils are easy to deploy and maintain, and you can replace parts quickly & easily if need be.
Both are built incredibly strong and durable, and both require each one to be lowered & raised one at a time.
Manual foils start at $5,000 inc GST for the WR500 CC.
Mechanical foils start at $10,000 inc GST for the WR550 HC.
Manual foils are not suitable for the half cabins due to their location within the cabin corner. Only mechanical, screw-jack foils are suitable, and allow bunks etc to be built around them. The legs are fully enclosed behind an alloy cover with a clear screen window so you can enjoy watching the leg rise and lower at the flick of a switch.

HYDROFOILS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE ON NEW WAVERIDERS
Due to where they're placed and how they're installed, including making sure all compartments are watertight - fitting the hydrofoils can only be done during a new build, starting when the hull is upside down.
Every aspect of the hydrofoils must be exact; in regards to their location in ratio to the length of the boat, the foil leg & foot size in relation to the boat size & weight, their angle to the keel as well as ensuring the foil foot is level. Pat has perfected all this after quite a few research & development test boats over the past 30 odd years.
Therefore, the foils can not be added to a completely built Waverider later. Nor can they be fitted to another boat shape, even if they are in construction stages. Sorry.
