6M PLATE BOAT & 60HP OUTBOARD, GETTING 25KNOTS? HOW?
FOR AFFORDABLE RUNNING & MAINTENACE COSTS
Having a big, plate boat (mono-hull) means it usually needs a big outboard (usually at least 115hp), a double axle trailer due to the weight of it, a powerful 4WD to tow it, and every time you want go somewhere, you have to fork-out a hefty fuel bill for your car AND boat, as that huge outboard (or two) are thirsty beasts!
As you may know, planning hulls (mono-hulls) push & displace water when underway, and gain their stability by the amount of water they displace, so they need big, powerful outboards to push them over their own bow-wave and then keep them planning.
But the Trinity 600 trimaran is VERY different.
The three, long & skinny hulls are wave-slicing hulls, not planning hulls, meaning they don't push a bow wave, ever - they simply slice & part the water, and have a shallow draft. The beam of the boat, or the spread of the 3-buoyant hulls, ensures the boat's weight is supported and kept stable at all times, so instead of having one large amount of water displaced, the trimaran design needs less water dispersal and a broader beam at waterline, to achieve better stability and running efficiency than a mono-hull.
This allows the boat to be powered by a smaller outboard, as low as a 60hp - which achieved a 25knot top speed during initial sea trials!
The lighter the boat, the faster it'll go (that's common sense for all boats), and with a trimaran design, it means you can achieve similar speeds as a mono-hull, but with a much smaller outboard!! Which means all ongoing costs, including maintenance costs, are greatly reduced.
Also reduced is the tow weight overall, as the plate boat is designed to be super strong but as light as possible, requiring only a single axle trailer (if desired), meaning you don't need a powerful, thirsty 4WD to tow the boat either.

BENEFITS OF TRINITY TRIMARANS
The floor extends right to the sidewall of the boat, which is vertical, so it is nearly 2.5m wide inside!
Going offshore? Your boat needs to be as safe as possible. Level Flotation ensures you can stay inside your flooded vessel, not swim!
The simple but strong build design cuts down on unnecessary materials and labour time, thus reducing costs.
Save money each time you service & use your boat, while enjoying the size, space & strength of a 6m plate boat, with great speed underway!
Plumb bows are very popular in Europe for their enhanced performance - due to the boat having a longer footprint in the water.
Due to the light weight design of the Trinity, the 6m plate boat only requires a single axle trailer, so a big 4WD isn't needed either!
"...SMOOTHEST RIDING BOAT i'VE EVER BEEN IN."
"The TRINITY trimaran was the smoothest riding boat I've ever been in. I knew I'd never be held back by bad weather again. So, I ordered a TRINITY 600 custom layout with a Mercury 115 HP engine. Can't wait!!"

2. LONG & SLENDER HULLS = NO RESISTANCE IN WATER
Boat designing experts use the following formula: "if a boat's beam is 1/8th the length of the boat, (thus long & skinny) the hull will cause little to no resistance in the water". So 1/8th of a 6m boat, is 750mm, thus the main hull's maximum beam for little to no resistance...
The main hull on the Trinity 600 is 600mm wide, and the side outriggers are 400mm wide, thus well under the maximum 750mm wide x length formula.
The very fine entry of the 3 hulls, effortlessly slices & parts the way through all conditions. The hulls aren't planning hulls - which displace water & cause a bow wave, instead, the boat just... gets faster when speed is applied!
3. HIGHEST LEVEL OF STABILITY POSSIBLE
Unlike mono-hulls, that require a decent 'V' in the bottom of the boat to displace the water (and what causes instability), the Trinity has three, flat-bottom hulls, spaced for maximum width, allowing for a much broader, more reliable and highly effective stabilising footprint in the water.
Most catamarans, in general, are more stable than mono-hulls, but trimarans, with their 3 x shallower-draft, narrower hulls, hold-gold for the highest level of stability possible from any water craft.
